    Celebrating the blooming of the convergence era in Korea, the conference will take a look at major changes that the convergence can bring about in economy, industry, society and culture. The conference will also discuss policy directions for the promotion of the convergence.

    The conference will cover ongoing efforts around the world for the promotion of sound information culture. Moreover, the conference will suggest a right direction for the sound culture, and discuss online trust - a key factor to usher in an advanced future society.

  • Global IPv6 Summit in Korea 2008

    The ultimate goal of this forum is to advance the Internet environment through building an IT infrastructure based on the next-generation Internet. The forum will discuss efforts to develop the IPv6 technology and equipment and to spread its services, in response to the depletion of the IPv4 addresses. In addition, the forum will talk about possible scenarios and strategies for a successful shift from the IPv4 to the IPv6.

  • New Media & Its Social Impacts: Internet, Mobile and Contents
    Organiser: Korean Association for Broadcasting & Telecommunication Studies
    This conference provides a venue to discuss the spread and social implication of converged media services on the Internet and mobile devices. The agenda of the conference are as follows:
    • compare the contents of converged services in Korea with those in other markets;
    • analyse the characteristics of the new media;
    • look into what the users want and how individuality is increasingly emphasised;
    • study social and cultural issues emerged as a result of the expansion of the space where people to interact with and
    • discuss policies that influence the public sphere, which is created by the new media, and its structure and functions.
