General Statistics
  • 79.7% of attendees are actively involved in purchasing process, with 23% being the final decision maker.
  • 72.5% said that they established contacts for future negotiations.
  • 88.4% said that the exhibitors were clear with the presentation of their products.
  • 44.9% said that Gobierno 2001 was a better than other IT shows
  • 85.5% said that they were satisfied with the show.
  • 94.2% found products that were interesting to them.
Important Occurrences Inaugural Ceremony was keynoted by the president of the Mexican States Mr. Vicente Fox Quezada who said "We are now inaugurating three very important events: TIDAP, Government on Line and Expo Gobierno 2001." Mr. Pedro Cerisola y Weber, the new telecommunications minister of Mexico, and Francisco Barrios Terrazas, minister of the controllers office, were also present. Other distinguished industry leaders speaking at Gobierno 2001 were Mr. Julio Cesar Margain, director of E-Mexico, and Mr. Ramon Muñoz from the president's office, director of modernization in the federal government.
